Welcome to ERASMUS+ Innovation Alliance AI4GreenBus – Business Model Innovation with Artificial Intelligence for Urgent Green Agenda!

In December 2025 international partners from across Europe, launched the ERASMUS+ Innovation Alliance project “Business Model Innovation with Artificial Intelligence for Urgent Green Agenda – Educate to Innovate” (AI4GreenBus). The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions, vocational education providers, and industry actors to support the development of sustainable, AI-driven business models and to equip learners and professionals with the skills needed for the green and digital transition.
The project addresses the urgent need for professionals capable of designing and implementing sustainable business solutions by combining Artificial Intelligence (AI), deep technologies, and sustainability principles. It focuses on developing an innovative methodology and a micro-credential training programme on AI-enabled Sustainable Business Model Innovation (AI-SBMI), supported by an immersive learning environment – the Sustainable Business Metaverse Incubator. AI4GreenBus responds to key challenges faced by education and industry today. While sustainability and digitalisation are increasingly important, there is still a lack of integrated training approaches that combine these areas with practical business model innovation. Many organisations and learners lack the knowledge and tools to effectively apply AI in developing sustainable and circular business models.
The project addresses this gap by creating structured, practice-oriented learning solutions and fostering closer collaboration between education and industry. At the same time, AI4GreenBus emphasises the importance of a holistic and future-oriented approach. It promotes the development of green, digital, and entrepreneurial skills, ensuring that learners are prepared to respond to complex environmental and economic challenges. By strengthening competences, encouraging innovation, and supporting interdisciplinary collaboration, the project contributes to building a more sustainable, resilient, and technologically advanced European economy.
