The AI-SBMI (Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Business Model Innovation) methodology is a structured approach developed within the AI4GreenBus project to support the design, transformation, and evaluation of sustainable business models using artificial intelligence. It integrates principles of sustainability, digital innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking, enabling learners and practitioners to systematically explore how AI can enhance value creation while addressing environmental and societal challenges. The methodology combines analytical tools, practical frameworks, and real-life use cases to guide users through key stages of business model innovation - from opportunity identification and stakeholder analysis to solution design and impact assessment. It places strong emphasis on critical evaluation of AI-generated outputs, ensuring that solutions are realistic, ethical, and aligned with sustainability goals. Designed for higher education and professional training contexts, the AI-SBMI methodology supports the development of future-oriented skills and promotes the adoption of responsible, data-driven innovation practices in business.
Currently, project partners are actively working on the development of the AI-SBMI methodology, and it will be made publicly available to all interested users by the end of 2026.
