Webinar “Designing Sustainable Business: Insights, Innovation and Design Thinking”

How can design thinking help us create more sustainable and innovative businesses? What skills and teaching approaches are needed to prepare students for the rapidly changing green and digital economy?

On 2 October 2026, the AI4GreenBus project invites educators, students, industry representatives, entrepreneurs and everyone interested in sustainable business and innovation to join the online webinar “Designing Sustainable Business: Insights, Innovation and Design Thinking.”

The webinar will combine practical learning with the latest insights from the AI4GreenBus project.

A central part of the programme will be the master class “Design Thinking in Sustainable Business”, led by Karīna Villerte, lecturer at Turiba University. Karīna teaches Design Thinking and has nine years of experience in graphic and UX design, as well as six years of experience delivering design thinking workshops and lectures. She has also previously delivered Design Thinking training within an international intensive course focused on sustainable entrepreneurship.

Participants will have an opportunity to explore how design thinking can be applied to sustainable business challenges and how a user-centred and creative approach can support the development of new solutions.

The webinar will also present the first findings from the research carried out by the AI4GreenBus project partners. The research explores current approaches, practices and needs related to teaching sustainable and innovative business models.
